So many people think clubbing, drinking, smoking, and all the things they do in public don't matter much. Many have told me that I am too hard on the sinner which turns them away from the kingdom. I had a lady to tell me one day... "Don't forget you had to come around too!"
The truth is, she is right... BUT the church I ran to was the church that presented holiness to me and told me exactly what I needed to hear, not what I wanted to hear.
It's the strangest thing, discipline, we hate it sometimes, but it is the most valuable component to success. So many of us are not successful because when elders were telling us how to get right... we ignored them to do what we wanted to do.
Being a Christian is TOTALLY about being the example. That's why we follow Christ... He was THE example. If we are to be clones of Christ, we can be in the world but not of it. Once this generation gets an understanding of this, we will move into a realm of success that is not even imaginable.
My anointing is too powerful for me to cast it away for one night in a strip club. The investment God poured into me is too valuable for me to chance it on a blunt.
When we realize the power of what God has invested in us we'll realize... these things do matter. Not necessarily to prove to people but more to prove to God that we are what we proclaim to be.

You are sooo right!! But what kills me is how this KEEP IT REAL generation can't take what they try to dish out. Yes, when your momma said that the truth hurts she was telling the gospel truth. Time is winding up, and if we keep sugar coating the truth we will all be riding that candy land express straight to hell. Now That's Real. Of course there is a way to be direct w/o coming off as judgmental, but if people are going to let the way someone talked to them keep them from God they didn't want to truly be in His service anyway. That's the excuse we give to justify doing what we know is wrong.
